July was filled with highs and lows. I have been down-for-the-count sick 3 times this month. Flu and fever, body aches, 24 hours in bed the first week, then Danny was sick for a couple of days and kept a cough for a couple of weeks. I followed that up with a stomach bug for a couple days. Thankfully, the high week came with our trip to Holbox 14 July for 4 days. It was an absolute epic few days, including its own highs (many) and lows (few). It is my favorite YouTube Video to date! My little creative hobby is educating me and I am starting to get the hang of it. Within days of returning home, the stomach bug struck again and I am sitting at 48 hours as I type this…ugh!

Other than that, just doing small town living here. We are cooking at home much more, eating only at small local places, keeping costs down in between our travels. We enjoy our pool regularly, reading, and watching an unusually high amount of TV being sick. We celebrated Journey’s 6th birthday. The weather here is also a thing. Pretty much every day since the last week of May it is approximately 90 degrees with a high degree of humidity giving it a feels like 100. Yes, we are acclimating. Yes, we are managing. But, not going to lie, we’re looking forward to more temperate weather coming soon. Winter here should be nothing short of perfection, then onto eternal spring near Lake Chapala! April is one of the hottest months (historically) in Mexico, and we will be on the road for that entire month, in the states of Campeche (hot) and Chiapas (mild).

Please wish my mama a happy 80th birthday on July 28th!
